The awarding institution franchises delivery of programmes or parts of programmes of study that it has designed (sometimes in partnership with the franchisee) to another institution. This means that the other institution is responsible for delivery of a programme or parts of a programme of study. The awarding institution remains responsible for the standards of awards and quality assurance of the programme. The certification will be awarded by the awarding institution.
